Missions & Outreach
Becker Baptist Church believes in Short Term Mission Trip experiences. In recent years we have had several teams go out each year. The Missions Committee is responsible to choose trip locations, select team members and appoint a trip leader. They also prayerfully review the applications of team members as part of the selection process. You may access the Mission Trip Application HERE - return it to the church office. Information on youth missions can be found here: Youth Missions
Recent short-term mission experiences
BBC has been sending teams of youth and adults to the Northwest Angle (through multiple border crossings and a boat ride across part of Lake of the Woods) in recent years to share Bible stories and interact with Native American children on a Reservation. BBC will send another team June 24-July 30, 2017. Hear their report here: NWA Mission Team Report and photos here: 2015 NW Angle Mission
In 2012 and 2015, a team of adults and teens served at Reame, a home for children. They served alongside BBC missionary Lynda Oatley, who is chaplain at Reame. Their work included sharing the good news of Jesus with the children through skits, teaching and music as well as painting and fun games and crafts with the children. Hear their 2015 report here: Brazil/Reame Mission Trip 2015 Report and view photos here: 2015 Brazil Reame Mission Trip
Two teams in recent years have partnered with Jesus in Haiti Ministries to love the children and work on numerous building projects.
Ukraine Sister Church
BBC has had a Sister Church in Vatutino, Ukraine (approx. 3 hours south of Kiev) since the early '90s partnering with them in prayer, finances, and through sending short-term teams to come alongside the Believers there in reaching out to their community through Day Camps, work with orphans, holding special women's and men's meetings, youth meetings, sharing through music and preaching during services, and more.
